Seagate Backup Plus for Mac 8TB on Amazon
I have been trying to live and die by the idea that data does not exist unless it is in three places.
Currently, I have it in two. Looking for solutions for an online third source, but haven’t found anything yet. I bought this backup drive on Amazon Prime Day and am just getting around to really using it for my second copy of everything. So far, so good. I love that it has two USB ports on the front, so I can use it for charging devices because power outlets are limited in this old house. I also love that it is powered, so I do have to plug it into the wall–but this means those USBs will work even when I don’t have the hard drive plugged into my computer.
Eventually, I think this will be the drive I use to store all my media and have it hooked to an Airport Extreme or something, so I can watch movies on an Apple TV in my living room. This plan requires a new house and what not, but eh… it will come one day.
If you’re looking for a HUGE drive, this is a great one. There is a windows version as well. I suggest purchasing the plan Seagate offers, as it covers data loss and damage to the drive.
