So I have had something in the works for a while now. I called upon my friend Megan, who graduated from college with me. We worked together in the Writing Center, which was a great job to have on campus. One of my favorite stories involves us running into a skunk after work one day (not sure if Megan remembers this or not). Megan started backing up slowly and nearly back herself down the staircase before I got us turned around to avoid getting sprayed. Needless to say, we took the long way home. I can laugh about it now in an “oh haha there was a skunk” but at the time I was internally ready to scream bloody murder.
One of my favorite things about Mary Baldwin is that I know grads who are doing everything. There are classmates in law school, classmates doing graphic design like Megan is, and there are classmates doing everything else from teaching to admissions, like myself.
Anyway, back to the gist of this. Megan has been working on a graphic design project for me. She worked hard to get change the website’s theme to embrace a logo she created (that I’m obsessed with), so I’m super happy with her work.
